They call Marina Abramović as your role model. Physicality, sexuality and nudity were at Abramovic’s performances always big themes - already in the eighties. What makes a Naked performance such as yours still interesting?
Today there is this ambivalence: Nudity is omnipresent, but at the same time, our company has become disembodied. In our digital age, the physical experience counts less and was replaced by mental processes. I want to make people aware of the physicality again, get them to feel physical strengths and weaknesses. The body affects the mind, too, and vice versa.

Were you surprised that you have not admitted by the way?
I was relatively open and did not know how to respond is there. My point was to confront everyday life with art. The nature but is a hermetically sealed place where art does not occur in natural interaction with everyday life. There I wanted to create permeability and disrupt the structures. Unfortunately, I have not done it.

Disappointed that?
The species is a place for art with international appeal. It is the opportunity to experience art. At the same time we must not forget that it has rigid structures and is commercially oriented. Of course I am disappointed that too.

How do the passers-by on you when you get naked into the tram?
You do, when I was not there. I am during my performances always like in a movie and have a kind of tunnel vision. But some of the responses I register already. An elderly man has ever wished me all the best. And the younger people to film me often with the iPhone.

With your performance “The Script System» 2013, from which there is also an online video, became world famous abruptly. Do you have to take off as an artist to make a name for himself?
How it is not. We are already facing the Internet with so much nudity. In art, it is a question of the interaction, there should be a combination of different thoughts and attitudes to be there. For me, a naked body is alone, for example, no provocation, I do not see him being judgmental.For me, art is always formed only by the physical experience in everyday life.

What do you mean?
The body is for me the most intense thing there is, just because he is not an abstraction. If someone acts, it acts themselves with - the proven scientifically in psychology. In my performances is also this: The people experiencing physically with what I do.

What do you think of actions such as walking or nude images of photographer Spencer Tunick, who scans a collection of naked people? They occur even on alone.
I once talked to a man who has posed for Tunick on the Aletsch Glacier. He felt the nudity in this context as something natural and liberating. This feeling I Contrasting course with my performances, I’m the only one there naked. So I will take the audience social rules in mind.

Do you have undergone cosmetic surgery?
Yes. A few years ago I had small breasts. But I let myself even been photographed by my friend and was then also ten pounds heavier.

They break with social conventions by going naked to the people. At the same time your body corresponds to a social conception of aesthetics: They are slim, pretty and have big breasts. So you cement but a common ideal of beauty. Is not that a contradiction?
It is a contradiction, yes. However, the aesthetic plays an important role in the art. I do not live as a hermit and do not rule me out of the company. I do not see things as good or bad, and I am also questioning itself. But I work according to certain rules, because I do not take from me. Such dichotomies I will like to collide.

Her husband, the photographer Peter Palm has made ​​a series of nudes from you. The proximity to pornography is already partially striking.
I am the imagery important. There are people who feel already a nipple as pornographic.So if there is someone called pornography, what I do, I have no problem with that. I am inspired by, inter alia, the images of the performance artist Paul McCarthy and how he combined sexuality with satire. I think in general, there should be no barriers as in sexuality in art.

What are your next projects?
I want to retire in the near future to the studio and paint. In August I will visit Marina Abramović in London. There we are planning to transfer. That is my next public appearance.
